To exercise these rights, contact us at support@gego.app. Requests are free and we will respond within 1 month (this may be extended by 2 months for complex cases, as permitted by UK law). We may pause the response clock if we need to verify your identity, as required by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data while your account is active. Inactive accounts (no activity for 2 years) will be deleted automatically.

Ride History: We keep ride history for 2 years after the ride date for safety, dispute resolution, and legal compliance purposes.

Anonymised Data: After deletion, anonymised ride data (with all personal identifiers removed) may be retained longer for service improvement and environmental impact statistics. This data cannot be linked back to you.

You can request account deletion at any time, and we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we're required by law to retain it (e.g., for tax records or legal disputes).

GeGo is a mobile app and does not use cookies. We use anonymised analytics (via Firebase Analytics) to understand app usage and improve our service. This data is aggregated and cannot identify you personally.

You can opt out of analytics in your device settings (iOS Settings → Privacy → Analytics) or in the app preferences. We do not use your data for targeted advertising or cross-app tracking.

10. Children's Privacy

GeGo is not directed at children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 18, we will delete it immediately.

For users under 13, we would require verifiable parental consent if we were to offer features specifically designed for children (we currently do not offer such features).

We do not make solely automated decisions that have legal effects or significantly affect you. Our ride matching algorithm assists in connecting drivers and passengers, but all bookings require human confirmation and interaction. You always have the right to request human review of any automated processing.
